Jane was in Brazil in 2001 with our daughter Kate, during Kate's Medical Elective there - neither has stopped raving about it since. Now retired, we plan to combine a Peru trip with a recce to see how we could medically help some of the most impoverished rural communities in the Cusco area. We plan to tour but also to visit the WAWA Project, to see what potential there may be for us to provide some input - please see their website details below, under 'Welcome'.

Welcome
A warm welcome to all!
Jane and I are visiting Peru next year, hopefully with the possibility of going back at regular intervals.
WAWA
Chris and Mary Bunney live in West Dorset and are involved with the WAWA Charity. They have had close connections with the Cusco area for 29 years or more. You will see the Charity deals directly with the communities through a dedicated team in Peru.
The Charity raises funds by buying craftware directly from the Andean communities in Peru and selling them locally in the UK, through several outlets, including the Bunneys' shop in Weymouth. Also through the commitment of many supporters.
We would be delighted if you visited their website and online shop - any support for the charity will be very welcome.
This Blog was in part inspired by an intrepid young architect friend, Chris Farmer, who has at the time of writing this, just completed his solo cycling trip down the length of Spain and crossing over to Morocco. Great pics, and entertaining. His blog is cfarmer at Bilbao to Tangiers here on Blogger.
